Volunteer with The Chaparral-Tonalea Project

Two SUSD schools are working together to energize our SUSD community!

Staff and families from Tonalea, a K-8 school, and volunteers from Chaparral High School have partnered up to complete a variety of projects.

The first project of 2021-22 was completed by the Chaparral National Honor Society, which held a clothing drive for the Tonalea nurse's office. Other projects include catering a meal for the Tonalea teachers, a holiday gift drive led by Chap Student Government, Trunk or Treat on October 28, volunteering at events, creating winter decorations, sports home game scorekeeping, and having a discussion with Tonalea students about what high school is really like.

This is a great way for Chaparral students to have a direct impact on their community! There are lots of ways to contribute, and sign-offs for NHS hours are available. Visit the Chaparral-Tonalea Sign-up page to see current opportunities and visit the Tonalea Tiger Amazon Wishlist to help stock the Tiger Store or the Library Wishlist to add more books for the terrific Tigers!

Would you like to get involved or do you have any questions? Please contact Teerin Higgins (CHAPTS VP Community) for more information.
