We’ve had many families ask how they can be helpful as Chaparral welcomes students to campus who are Afghan refugees. Chaparral students, teachers, and administrators are ready and prepared to help students feel comfortable and supported on campus, and CHAPTS has been in touch with agencies who are working directly with local refugee families to offer further assistance.

Two urgent needs we've learned about are clothing and transportation for parents who are starting new jobs.  If you'd like to help address those issues, consider donating to the CHAPTS clothing drive (bins for new or gently-used clothing in the office and in room E111 or purchase through our Amazon wishlist) or contacting us to pick up an (operable) adult bicycle you're not using. We're happy to help!
